Toronto International Film Festival:

Picture
Adapted from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uESEIZ__fwU:

The Toronto International Film Festival has struck gold yet once again but this time it didnt come via red carpets or silver screens. Instead the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus made the trip across the border to collaborate with students from Remix and Shoot With This to produce a simple request: Equality. After putting the finishing touches on the track the students hit the rooftop of CTV to proclaim their message to the world. The track features emcees Colanthony Humphrey and Kwaku Opoku-Fofie with the contagious hook laid down by Mohanza Obi Kelly and video production from Matthew Plummer, Tanesha Evans, Monique McKenzie and Roxanne Garraway. From Toronto to Beijing, New York to Berlin, the message is clear. We are all one. We are all equal.

Mohanza "Obie" Kelly is a One World Youth Arts Project (OWYAP) graduate from several decades ago that continues to work with OWYAP through performances at the TDSB's Keeping The Dream Alive tribute Concert to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The video below was inspired by the "One World" philosophy. Obie is also featured in the Ministry of Education / Curriculum Services Canada video on OWYAP's innovative Arts/Music education.
